The Playboy empire has announced its newest plans for expansion with a Playboy Mansion Macau project that will land in the up-coming Macau Studio City in 2009. The project, which is inspired by the Beverly Hills original, will be a mixed public/private facility that will host parties and events not only for the general public, but also for those lucky individuals on Hugh Hefner's A-List. During a press conference, chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Christine Hefner gushed about the possibilities, "We'll have invitation-only and public parties," noted the robed ones daughter. "What I'm pretty jazzed about are the 'after parties', so that when performers are done on stage, they will always come to our venue. Our experience in Vegas tells us that there is a very powerful opportunity to integrate lounges and venues." In addition to the club and lounge, the facility will also offer a Hugh Hefner Sky Villa (sound familiar?), which will be connected to a swimming pool and even, wait for it, a grotto! "Over the next two years as we complete construction, we will be making more announcements, but what we envision is something like this: There are only two homes in America - the White House and the Playboy Mansion - and frankly, I think more people want to go to the Playboy Mansion. Here in Macau, we will be open to the public, but there will also be a market for VIP membership programs featuring special elements and events on- and off-site with special rewards." Hefner even jumped reporters to the question of the day adding, "Will there be bunnies you ask? To that I say: a resounding 'you bet'!"
