I went up to Northern Michigan on vacation last week, and much to my surprise, the new casino replacing Victories in Petoskey had their soft opening on 6/20. They have new chips! See below. I'll be bringing a stack of $1's and a handful of $5's to the convention for trading. I also thought I had a second $25, but it is escaping me at the moment. Also escaping me is the virtually new Kewadin $25 I found at a blackjack table in St. Ignace. Nothing like seeing a nice, solid green chip in the middle of a stack of worn chips and having a friendly dealer! By the way, Kewadin has now set up a tent that connects to their new building to house their games. No one seems to know if/when they will ever get their issues with the new building resolved. You know, I must have had a genius in high school woodshop. He kept muttering "measure twice, cut once". I'll bet Kewadin wishes he was leading their construction project.
