When I have played a plaque on the 'inside' on a roulette table, it has always been immdeiately removed by the dealer and replaced with chips or a marker. I doubt any casino would not have sufficient size chips to cope with their inside table max limits.

I witnessed my biggest ever roulette win last night at Trump Marina, AC.
A player bought in at $1000 a chip and was playing approx 30 chips a spin all round 22. He hit 22 with 12 chips straight up and a further 12 0n the splits =corners and the street. Payoff was an impressive $702,000. They paid him off in $5k chips. He turned down their offers of markers/$25k fill/racks and filled his pockets with 7 stacks of chips grin
I noticed he did not tip the dealer.
