I am building my page for trading & selling chips and other collectible stuff, such as Star Wars and Coke stuff. I want to ask if anyone has a good recomendation for where I should purchase / register my domain name and where to host my page. There are several sites with different options and I can't make up my mind with any of it. I see a lot of chippers have great pages up and running and I am ready get with it.

My current page (http://geocities.com/collectionsection/) is free and has a low size limit of data transfer so that if 10 people check it out and click on a lot of pics, it will go down for an hour. Also it doesn't come up in interent searches I believe since it is part of Yahoo! Geocities and not a stand-alone domain. It also has that annoying advertising bar on the side. For these reasons, I haven't even kept up with it. I also never got a single email from anyone who found my site on their own.

I need a new host that will allow me more or unlimited transfer, and show up in internet searches. I don't need the kind of service that has web design wizards or anything. For now I plan to build it using my HTML training and no database or fancy scripts. Also I want a site with little or no advertising added to my site.
