There's the fact that you'll be supporting the growth and maintenance of the hobby you're growing to love. Without the there wouldn't be any universally accepted grading standards, ethical standards, or educational efforts that benefit anybody interested in chip collecting (whether they're members or not). There's the connections you can make with fellow members, whether you ever set foot in Las Vegas or not.
