Unfortunately I don't have any evidence that the Alcazar was still in operation after Weinshenker's murder, let alone almost 10 years later when the chips were ordered. I did find a Jack Shivel living in the Chicago area in 1930...in Hammond, IN. That's kind of far from the North side location of the Alcazar though. Found another in Kentucky too, so it might be worth considering a Northern Kentucky location.

I was wondering if anyone's ever found any of these chips locally...not from another chip collector or dealer, but from the source...grampa's attic or whatever. Do you remember where you found yours?
