Here is the info I have obtained on Zieglers. The person I got it from was the son (Stan Gogna) of the individual that bought it in the 1950s.
In the 1950s, the building was torn down and he moved to The Aurora Club. It was a new building. They stayed there for 8 or 9 years. They had only 4 tables. He needed a bigger place. They reopened Zieglers on Webber Street in the middle of the block. A long narrow bar was the first room. After going thru two doors you would come to the card room. The card room was long and narrow like the bar. It featured lowball, pan and pai-gow. It remained open for about 15 more years then it was closed. It finally closed in 1986. There was three other card rooms within a 4 block radius. It was also call the New Vinces Club for awhile. No chips were ever found from there. They would open the place in the morning with coffee and $30 in chips for $10. You had to play 2 hour minimum for the $30 in chips. Unless you went broke. If you won it was a 50-50 house split.
