A lot of the PO contract stations, some are located in gasoline service stations, drug stores, etc. do not know what they are doing when it comes to running the PO at their establishment. They are primarily employees of the store and get little or no training at the PO station at their store. Every week new employees come and go so there is no consistency there. I have had to tell many of the workers at the PO contract station what the postage should be, they have no clue, their computers attached to the scales are so complicated. That is the problem, the real PO employess at post offices know the rates. That is why you see so many different postage amts. on the envelopes.
