His excuse is crap. While some sellers use stock photos of common chips, he has an obligation to send a chip AT LEAST AS GOOD as the one in the picture.
I ardently dislike dealers like that, who don't even apologize for their deception (because who could miss the difference) and they usually act with surprise and victimized when negative feedback is left. I've over 3100 transactions on eBay, and have received 6 negatives. 5 of the 6 were retaliatory feedbacks from deadbeats. One was from a new buyer who thought his book (media mail) should arrive within a week after the auction. I don't let fear of negative feedbacks stop me from telling the truth. People who read feedback look for trends and know when the negative feedback is retaliatory or deserved.
