"Harrah's Doesn't Like That."

"...Harrah’s was built on the high-margin, low-volume player. They produce a predictable win, cost little in comps, and there are many, many of them. High rollers demand games with a slim house advantage, generous comps, and the possibility of actually walking away with a win once in a while.

Harrah’s doesn’t like that."

Bill Harrah was an interesting fellow and he pretty much developed the modern casino experience. As much as he cared for his customer, his personality made him seem a cold fish. Today his name is on a an enterprise that's more cold than caring. Who's the fish? grin

The quote at the top is from the blog of Richard "Quiet Lion" Brody. http://www.brodietech.com/liontales/2007/06/fall-of-roman-empire.html Brody is quite the chatterbox poker player and darling of ESPN gameshow TV directors. Seems he got barred from Harrah's properties for winning too much to suit the uh, suits. Video poker BTW. Since WSOP is a Harrah's asset, the so-called Quiet Lion isn't allowed to play. Good fun reading and following this stuff if you don't care for Harrah's. vbg
