I Made the Discovery That ...

I originally made the discovery that the Silver Slipper diecard mold chips, that were listed in both the TCR and the Official U. S. Guide, were from the Edmonton charity casino. I ran across a coin dealer who was selling the $1 chips for $3 each. I bought two of them just to make sure that they were the same as ones in the guide. I then alerted the authors of the guides with my discovery and posted the information on the Chipboard. At first there was some thought that the chips were originally used in the Las Vegas Silver Slipper casino and then retired and later used in Canada. But no evidence was ever producted to confirm this. As it stands now, these are definitely Canadian charity chips, never used in a Las Vegas casino.
