Those who don't bother to vote because (a) they figure it won't make any difference anyway, or (b) the Club will keep functioning just as well as it always has whether they vote or not, are victims of very wrongheaded thinking.
The Club does not run itself. The larger it gets, the more member benefits we receive, the better the magazine and the convention and the other services the Club provides its members, the more work it takes to make it run smoothly and well. Those who are willing to do the necessary work are much scarcer than those willing to vote.
Those who take the Club's benefits and assume that it will continue to function well without any effort or input on their part, are simply wrong.
