Hey Archie, how many members did we have in 2003?
In Response To: 2003 Election results ()

Didn’t we have around 3000 members back in 2003? So really when President Skelton was elected in 2003, 20% of the membership voted (3000 members/600 votes = 20%).

We talk about poor voting turnout, what about the issue about only having 2400 club members? Did we lose over 600+ active members in last couple of years?

How do we address the issue that our club membership number is at almost 7650 and we only have 2400 active members (that’s about 32% of the membership base)? Over the last 19 years the club has added 400 - 500 members a year (on average) and we lose around 275 - 350 (on average) of those members each year. That equates to about 125 - 160 additional members each year (on average).

Does the club know why the 5000+ members have left this club? It would be interesting to understand what the main reasons are why members leave the club.

Also, Ralph or now Sunday, do we have year-over-year membership numbers. I would be curious how our membership has been dropping (or is it my perception) in the last 5 – 7 years.
