Regarding older Nevada chips, did any casino's cancel their chips in mass this way or is the more frequent practice just to drill or overstamp them?
I haven't been collecting very long, but I really don't see a lot of notched chips for sale (see more drilled chips). Now I know there are rare proto-type chips that are one-of-a-kinds, but are regular issuse notched chips more scarce than un-notched? For example, if I know there is a box of the Sands $25 chips out there somewhere, is it possible that there are only a few of these around as notched samples? And if they are really samples, I would think they would be in great condition.
I don't specifically collect notched chips, I just picked these up because they were pretty cheap, great condition and I like the way they look. The notches don't really bother me. Does anyone have specific information to the below chips? Thanks for any help and/or comments!
