THE CHICAGOLAND CHIPPERS WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE…

The availability for pre-order of the 2007 Chicagoland Chippers Charity Chip with net proceeds this year going to the V Foundation to support Cancer Research. Both sides of the chip (subject to Chipco approval) are displayed below along with the anticipated wording along the edge of the chip. If you are interested in pre-ordering this chip (they will be made available on a first come first served basis), they are available for a minimum contribution of $10 per chip (shipped). Larger orders may be obtained with a discount. The expectation is that the chips will be available prior to the convention. You may begin ordering the chips immediately simply by emailing Aaron M. Peacock or Riverboat Rick.

The Chicagoland Chippers wanted to do something special for the hobby, and to serve our broader community. Many of our fellow collectors have battled cancer this year, or have lost friends and family to the disease. This is a wonderful opportunity to obtain a great chip while supporting a very worthwhile program. The V Foundation provides funding for Cancer Research created as a legacy for Jim Valvano. With the invaluable assistance of Debbie Meister we have designed a very fun chip that represents the Chicago Spirit. I would also like to thank David Spragg for giving us a special rate for this chip. And finally, thank you to Sheldon and Christine, Riverboat Rick, David and Denise Kolenda, Fred DeKeyser and Julie, Bill Lange, Joe Pavlik, Ken Nestle, Bob McLear, Pam Holmgren and Mike Pasternack who have all assisted in this project (and will be called upon again). This chip is limited to only 150 chips and if it is successful, we hope to do future chips for other worthwhile charities.
