The black plaque 2nd under the man's (Ken Kammins, another story) picture at the top? That's from when I was elected Teacher of the Year in the mid-1980's. You bet, I missed the selection meeting!!! It was the only time I missed in 34 years. That's how a lot of stuff got done in the heat of the desert in the old days. No one wanted TOTY because you had to dress up, wear a tie and go to a lot of rubber chicken dinners. And if you look carefully at the silver chain dropping down the middle of the pegboard to the right, that's the last 10 feet of my once 30+/- foot beer-can-tab chain. You still have yours?
