Everything box wise is being calculated on cubic foot.

Lynn sold a lady a 36 inch doll that weighed about 5 -6 pounds packaged. She told her to pay quick or the rate would be ridiculous. Old rate by pound calculation was $12.60. Todays rate is $56.95. She didn't pay til today and is squeeling big time. We only charge actual shipping but we are not going to eat $44.00 in shipping. It is a mess.

This should cost Ebay millions in lost listings. It is now essentially flat rate for big box traffic. If the item weighs 3 pounds or 50 pounds it is going to be the same cost.

As to Priority Shipments. If, from your shipping location to the destination does not reach into zone 5-8 it is all goimg by truck or train.
