Headline in local Brick, NJ newspaper:
LOCAL CHEAPO QUITS WALMART OVER A DOLLAR!
May 11, 2007. In an unprecidented move of utter cheapness, local Brick resident Rich Hanover has decided not to shop at Walmart due to a $1 increase in the price of DVDs. The company's reasonable reaction to such a drastic move was to take out a full page ad in this paper to belittle and demean Mr. Hanover. Reader reaction to the Walmart announcement appears to be favorable.
This reporter interviewed residents at the local Bashbar in Brick. "Walmart's prices are always low. What's a dollar anyway?" was the reaction from one local imbiber. "Walmart's the Best! Hanover is cheap" was another's reaction.
When asked for comment, Mr. Hanover stated. "Can't a person stop shopping at a store without being personally attacked?"
Obviously the answer is no.
I thought Glenn was completely wrong for politely deciding to switch NIS dealers (like what right does he have to switch dealers!!). Now I'm not so sure.
