Yes, a picture of an Apache chip was posted. No one was positive that it was one of the chips that Rich found. Rich made only the one post, then stayed out of it.
(Someone had been considering buying an Apache chip. That person sent the scan to another chipper. That chipper had saved the scan, and posted it to the chipboard. He thought it was probably one of the chips that Rich had found, but wasn't sure. He couldn't remember who had sent him the scan.)
As for what happened to the 3 chips that Rich found, I don't know. Apparently the first one was sold for over $5,000...at the time that was a record for a hot-stamp chip. I don't know about the other two.
