"BUT the standard rooms at the 4 Qns are subpar...good if all you want is a bed and an ashtray. If you're going to try the 11pm check-in and wind up on the 19th floor, the rooms are nicer."
That's kinda what I was saying in my first post. ...and my last stay at the 4Q, my room was on the 15th floor facing Fremont Street. It was above the canopy so I could see the Fremont Street Experience from a different perspective, and, I could actually open the window!
If I was going to compare a standard room at the 4Q to a national hotel chain, it'd be like a Super 8 or Days Inn (better than a Motel 6 or Econolodge). Not fancy, but okay (there's that word again ).
