hey paul, I think right now is a great time to go. I would say anytime right now is a good time as long as the wind is not going crazy. Paul, the guide said that the sheep are starting to come down to drink from the river. It hasn't been hot enough lately for them to come down. He actually thought it was too early this weekend but they were there anyway. If you put in your own boat, there are several hot springs along the river that the water is about 110 degrees. He said since 9-11 they would not let the tour stop to hang out at them for some reason. There were a bunch of canoes and kayaks parked all along and some even camped out at the springs! Very cool.
