These are pics from our trip this weekend down the Colorado River. We booked a float trip w/ Black Canyon River Adventures. We met at the Hacienda Casino in Boulder City. We got a box lunch and the boat trip lasted about 4 hrs. Very good trip and they even gave us a pretty good locals discount. We had a very good tour guide, Paul. He was very informative. The water comes strait from the snowfall on the Rockies. The water was 52 degrees and Paul said it only varies a degree or 2 year round. All I know is, it was COLD!!!!

These beautiful Longhorn Sheep were out and about this weekend. They are not afraid of much of anything. The boats, motors and people don't phase them, but they will scatter if they hear humans talking.

The first pic, when we finished our boat ride, I was able to walk right up to this herd and shoot a bunch of pics and they posed for me LOL!

This is a pic of a walkway that was built in the 30's if I remember correctly. There was a cable that was strung across the Colorado and it was used to measure the sediment in the Colorado. A guy's ONLY job was to walk out there twice a day from his house they built him right on the Colorado and take a couple measurements. In the next pic, was a basket he had to ride across to the walkway. What a job huh??

This is a pic from our boat on the Colorado River side. Very neat and a lot of restrictions on the Arizona side of the dam. Very low HP boats allowed thru the week and on Sun and Monday, NO motors allowed, only canoes and such.

All in all, it was a great relaxing trip. I highly suggest it!!! That's all for now. Have a great Sunday!
