Jim, Sounds like you will be at the convention which is great news.
All of your methods are correct. Now here is what I do and what I prefer.
I bring my traders in binders. I have one binder with about 300 roulettes. I have another binder with chips that are in flips and on the back of each flip is the TCR number and value. I like to trade value for value.
When bringing them to the convention take them on the plane with you. Do not put them in your luggage. I keep my binders on top of the carry on and take them out and put them in a tray when going through the scanner. Keep them separate or your entire carry on will be gone though.
When looking though chips i prefer them to be in binders. I find that easier than looking though the tackle boxes. Sometimes I bring extras in a box and replace them in my binder when that one is traded.
