It does not matter what hobby a person chooses, if they don't educate themselves as to what they are buying, then they stand a chance of getting burned. There are those who will mislead poeple in ALL hobbies. There is nothing wrong with trying to steer people in the right direction, but there are just too many types of poker chips being made for home sets & too many chips coming out of China to even think about stopping any of it.
Let the home poker set collectors enjoy what they collect & play with in their games & warn the new collectors to educate themselves.
Other than that, I think people are wasting their time on policing auctions. That time could be better spent enjoying their own collections. And this is not directed at you Barry. Yours just happened to be the post that got me to say what I wanted. I'm not interested in debating any of this. I just said what I felt & now I'm done.
