the wrong conclusions!
I have nothing against home poker sets and the vast majority of those involved in that hobby and pasttime.
I do however take exception to the introduction of certain chip designs and in this instance, a possible re-introduction of a mold. It makes no difference to me if it was you, or any one else.
It's the act, not the source!
And I guess we'll just have to differ about leaving any collector high and dry, on their own devices, paying their own dues, in a sink or swim World! I don't agree. I believe that we can help, we can educate and we can assist where possible.
The fact that the Club has an active Code of Ethics indicates to me that we are not of the 'buyer beware' and 'caveat emptor' mindset that I percieve you are portraying.
I suggest that you take a closer look at the pictured Dunes-mold chip in my post. See the cross-hatching?
Whats next, freshening up older dunes chips?
How about the remanufacturing of old Dunes chips with actual re-ground, clay-composition material and the recycling of inlays?
Just how difficult would now be to get several of these:
To recreate a seemingly new, uncirculated version?
Sorry Jerry, this is a problem in my mind. You may not see it that way, but I do.
Respectfully,
Jim Follis
