If there is a family member who has shown a great interest in chip collecting (rather than in obtaining your collection), you could leave it to them.
Or appoint a knowledgeable friend/fellow collector to dispose of the collection for you (with appropriate compensation).
Leaving it to your wife to dispose of is probably the worst choice for several possible reasons.
I suspect that most wives have no knowledge of the actual value of their husband's chip collection (possibly due to the fact that some husbands actually conceal how much they are spending on chips? )
In some unfortunate cases the wife might be so jealous of the time spent on the collection that she would intentionally dump it at a sub-par price.
This was YOUR collection, and you should not burden your loved one with the responsibility of disposing of something that she might associate very closely with her memory of you.
