In Response To: Inlaid Chip Question? ()

Because the "set" you found contained so many different colors it is certainly possible that they came from a club that had roulette (or possible Faro). Most of the "sets" of inlays that I have found contain either three or four colors which would be indicators that they were purchased for home play. It's too bad we cannot attribute these generic chips. I have generics from P. J. Sullivan's Lakeside Saratoga ("P" & "J") that I know came from there since I attended the 1996 sale of the remains of the Lakeside gambling items. But my personal knowledge doesn't translate into viable attribution for collectors of illegals. Nice find, Roy.
