check and see if there are any color correction options in the scanner program. If not, you can import it into another program, like paintshop or adobe, etc. to make corrections.

I use the Epson Perfection 4490 with ICE technology and simply love it. However, there is no need for such a high end scanner unless you want to convert negatives to a digital format. I do, which is why I picked the scanner.

Epson as a general rule makes fantastic scans. Our fellow chippers will also let you know other great scanners. You can buy a dirt cheap scanner and get great images....if you have the right brand.

My take on your situation....if you just bought the scanner and it doesn't do pink...take it back!
