I do know that from time-to-time the BBS gets hit with SPAM messages (in waves!) and sometimes it is easier to look for a common, keyword and then put that word on the Naughty Word list (to prevent the SPAM-bot posts) rather than continually delete each and every message.

If this tact is done, it is important to go back (when the barrage is over) and expunge the word (or even phrase) from the Naughty Word list.

I don't know if "hotel" was an example for this process or not, but at the present time "hotel" is not on the list and I've not seen it on the list previously.
