Denise and I spent the dsy at CINN getting an other MRI done and then meeting with the surgeon. Makes for a long day with all the construction etc. Out of here at 9am and back at 6 pm.
The overall results are "No significant difference in the size of the tumor."
I guess that is good news and bad news. It hasn’t gotten any bigger, nor has it got any smaller. 60 plus days of holding steady, beats the hell out of 60 days of it getting worse.
Three of the doctors will confer over the next couple of days as to what they feel is best to do. The surgeon, the radiologist, and the oncology doctor. The surgeon feels that the chemo is the main cause of my fatigue and weakness in the legs, and the benefit to the tumor is minimal at this time. He is thinking about doing a 2nd round of Gamma Knife. The inability to get around effects everything on a sliding scale. The legs are weak, cause I don’t walk or exercise. I don’t walk or exercise cause the legs are weak and balance is off. A never ending circle. While I’m not looking forward to having the halo screwed into my skull again, it beats sitting in this chair 14 to 16 hours a day, due to weakness. Top that off with a few bad poker days in a row and it’s a long week. Staying positive, If they can get some strength back, I plan to be at the convention, even if I have to use a chair / scooter. I know I can out run Aaron. If Sunday is a good day, I hope to make it to the Chicagoland Chipper's get together.
