I've noticed that when I work longer hours than normal one of the ways I cope is by mentally escaping to my memories of past conventions. One minute I'll be sitting here in business attire staring at numbers on my computer screen and then suddenly I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts and trudging from the Splash Bar to the convention showroom.
I'm usually only absent from my desk for a few seconds, but it does wonders for my attitude the rest of the day.
Thank God tax season ends on Tuesday and I'll be on a plane bound for Alberta, Canada for a few days of real R&R. (I just hope my wife doesn't catch me dreaming about being in Las Vegas in 110 degree heat while we're there)
