Rich said..The other guys story must be different. If the stories don't match they will investigate to determine who is at fault.
If you will recheck the thread...
Fault...
1. He admitted guilt/fault to me and the police
2. He was issued a citation
3. The police investigated and described what happened according to everyone involved and put it in the police report.
So far ALL the stories match perfectly and no one has disputed the facts or lied in any way.
Coverage...
1. Allstate has confirmed (to me) he IS currently covered by their policy.
So, what's the conflict? I am still wondering why it is unreasonable for me to feel I should be entitled to transportation and why Allstate is under no obligation to expidite the claim but yet I am obligated to mitigate damages.
I am paying insurance premiums on a car I cannot drive, the resale value has dropped due to being involved in a collesion, and I am being deprived of transportation.
Allstate claims they can take whatever time they need to determine liability and if I do not fix it myself, or turn it over to my insurance company to fix in a timely manor then I have not mitigated damages and they are not responsible until they accept responsibility.
If this is fair treatment then I have no case. I am still waiting on you (Rich) to point out where I have asked/want anything that is not reasonable or fair. And you started your post with "Before you start bashing Allstate" .... Point out where I said ONE WORD diragatory about Allstate other than state the facts. I DID later make the comment "Your in good hands (around your neck) with Allstate)" Again, please point out where I am unreasonable...
