I spent 12 months in Thailand in 1965/66. I never saw a beach. I don't believe they have any.

However, they do have many pretty girls/women, as I saw them daily.

I lived at the Korat Royal Thai AFB, Khon Kaen propaganda radio station (ha-sip kilowatt), and Udorn Royal Thai AFB, 30 miles south of Vientiene, Laos.

I also saw Bob Hope and Joey Heatherton, but, again, no beaches.

In addition I saw gambling. Everywhere and all the time. The Thais gambled on anything. Giant cockroach races, Thai Boxing (kick boxing), horse racing, elephant racing, card games, board games. You name it and they bet on it. Just no casinos.
