What in the world happened while I slept! I was on the board LAST NITE LOL!

Being a pretty new member to the Club, and thru no fault of my own mind you, I have not met any of the candidates as of yet. I have attended my first Southern Nevada Chapter meeting last month and will continue to do so. I have also attended various chip functions in the Vegas area. I just have not met anyone running for election.

Fot that reason, I believe, in the best interest for me and MY Club is if I ABSTAIN from voting in this election. I come from a very strong Union background and sometimes you speak your opinion and sometimes you just keep your mouth shut. This would be a situation for the latter. I am learning more about the "hobby" and the Club as time passes and this election is becoming as rediculous as Presidential elections. I AM NOT saying these elections are not as important (I hear the murmors already!). I feel they are very important to the continuance of this part of history and the "hobby" we all love.

My only suggestion to anyone who is in my position, don't vote just because you can, vote because you know the background of the ones running and you are in total agreement w/ them. And no I'm not a communist LMAO! Don't worry what someone puts in the newsletter (even though I haven't gotten mine yet). Everyone does commercials and everyone has backers. BUT just because they say they support "X" doesn't mean you can't support "Y". Do NOT follow the crowd. Do you own thing and in the long run you will be a better Club Member for doing so....

I know I pull no weight in the Club YET but since everyone else got their say-so I figured I would also. I also love this hobby and have really enjoyed and learned alot from the chipbd, Club and members of this fine Club!!!
