When I first got out of Law School, I became a State's Attorney, but I was called kid by the old regulars. I was in my 30s, and taller and bigger than any of them, but I was still kid.
That is until I had my first DUI trial. Sadly the State had lost every DUI trial held for years. Juries in that small town wouldn't say guilty if there was no breath test, no field test, and no admission. I won the first trial, and every DUI trial I conducted, and put drunk drivers in jail.
Kid became that f***ing SOB. Sounds bad, but when defense attorneys say it about prosecutors it is a compliment. Then again the federal judge who coached my trial team in law school, still talks to me like a 4 year old.
