I just got back from a 2900 mile, 6 day, 21 casino chipping extravaganza. Gawd am I tired and I don't want to see a steering wheel for a while. When getting off I-94 in WI to head into the back woods I noticed that the radar cops had pretty much vanished. As I was leaving WI the next day I thought about it and realized that I had seen only 2 cop cars but 3 Bald Eagles during that leg. Really neat seeing a bald eagle eating road kill on the side of the road. The weather was also incredible - almost 70 degrees even though there was still snow on the ground, especially up at the very northern tip of WI. Lake Superior had several hunderd yards of ice on it. I did my very best trying to get obsolete chips out of these places but even the ones that admitted that they still had them refused to sell. I got a few roulettes from WI casinos and found out that the MN casinos don't have roulette or craps. There goes the idea of picking up a bunch of dice!
I was very surprised by some of the casinos. Quite a few had only 2-4 BJ tables as their only table games and some of them were not even open. Others like Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Hinkley are huge places out in the middle of nowhere. The biggest has to be Potawatomi in Milwaukee. There is construction going on all over the exterior of the building. As I was entering the casino they had a placard stating that the construction was going to triple the size of the casino. I was impressed because I remembered it as being a pretty good size casino to begin with. The next line really blew me away. When done they will have 784,000 sq ft of casino space!
Well I managed to hit all of the western WI casinos and most of the MN casinos also. I got chips from every one I could and have a few duplicates - sometimes only one - of each. The $.50 chips are $2, $1 chips are $2.50, $2 and $2.50 chips are $3.50 and $5 chips are $7 all delivered prices. The roulettes are $3 each and the dice are $3 per pair. The dice, $2, $2.50 and $5 chips are shown in the next post.
