I have had an unpaid eBay auction and just chalked it up to "oh well." The fees weren't that much so I didn't puruse it. If it was an auction, you do have the option to Second Chance it to the next higher bidder.

Also, as recourse, note the non-payer's id and when they bid on your item(s) again then you can void their bid.
