I too played and was at a table with some ball players, Matt Morrison, ex St. Louis pitcher, now with Giants. He rebought five times (for free) in the first 45 minutes and quit before the rebuy period ended. Nice guy and I did get his autograph. Dave Burba was also at my table and did very well. It was announced that Matt Williams was the chip leader among the celebrities but Dave B was right there too. I also got the signature of some 22 year old fireballer who I guess we will hear about this year or next. Have no idea what his name is as I can't read his signature. What struck me most was that all these guys looked like any of us, albeit younger, and smaller that I had imagined.
I had one big hand QQ and it got busted when I went all in after the flop (3,5 9 two hearts), to a guy who called because he knew he could rebuy. He caught a heart on the river for a flush and I never was able to recover to do any good. Out lasted about 170 players out of the 290 that played.
