I recently bought a Canon Canoscan LiDE 60 scanner. Certain chip colors in the pink, red and oranges do not seem to show up properly.

This is USB powered. Probably a technology issue with the low power design.

Any suggestions? Any inexpensive scanners that people are happy with?
