I was following the sales by Premiere Props and there were not very many of the KGB $1 chips or the $500 Chesterfields compared to the others.

I know that there were more made than the 20 referred to above because friends of mine had 400 chips from the movie that they obtained several years ago from a person involved in its production.

They acquired four boxes of the chips. One contained 100 of the $100 KGBs,; one contained 100 of the $100 Chesterfields; one contained 20 of each of the five KGB denominations; and, the last contained 20 each of the five Chesterfields denominations. I saw and handled all four of the boxes (they were on my poker table the night they arrived by courier).

The two boxes containing the mixed sets were sold to a collector in New York for what I thought (at the time) was a crazy amount of money and the remaining $100 chips were sold off on eBay as sets of two for quite a long time.

I too am looking for a KGB $1 to complete my set and have all the Chesterfields except the $500 that I would trade (plus cash!) for one of the $1 KGB but so far, have not been successful in tracking one down.

In retrospect, I wish I had offered my friends more than they were getting from the guy in NY for the mixed sets as they would now be worth a lot of money - if I could convince myself to break up the sets!
