I've tried many of the high gravity ales (doubles and triples) but my favorites are Geuze, Kriek, and Peche. I also like a good Witbier every now and then.
The only Elephant beer I know of is a strong Pilsner style from Carlsberg in Denmark. I generally don't drink Pilsners anymore because of the high finishing hop levels give it histamines which cause, in me, a migraine, which I don't need. Also, this beer doesn't have a sediment I'm aware of.
Other than Belgian Ales, I'm strictly a Guinness draft person. Using only bittering hops with the boil, and no flavoring or finishing hops it is kind to my head. Also, the wonderful distinctive taste of roasted barley give it coffee notes. Can't think of a better session beer.
