Good Morning Nancy,
I've lived here a long time, over thirty years. I've been to many steak houses, ethnic restaurants, and pizza joints.
If I only could go to two places I would pick the following:
1) The Redwood Bar and Grill inside the California Club in downtown Las Vegas. They serve Black Angus prime rib. It is the ONLY meat dish that is Black Angus. All the other beef they serve use to be Black Angus but not anymore. It is the finest prime rib I've EVER had anywhere. I have been eating their since it opened 25 or 30 years ago. Ask for Brian, he is one of the original waiters. If your hungry, order the Redwood cut. I don't know of too many individuals who can finish it.
2) Austins Steak House inside The Texas Station Hotel & Casino located in North Las Vegas. Without a doubt an OUTSTANDING steak. One of the finest I've ever had anywhere in the United States. They serve prime beef twice aged (both dry and wet). They are noted for the bone in rib eye. The place is expensive but worth every dime.
The service is GREAT. Ask for Ahmed. Tell him I sent you!
After going to hundreds of places I've settled on these two. You will not be unhappy.
Jim
