with some of the ChipTalk.net members with these chips, they were only cancelled on one side. The cancelling process put a large hot-stamp on (in black I believe) that was NOT firmly embedded into the surface of the chips.
They were relatively easy to remove, but still required work, and when fully removed they still left a tell-tale indentation from the hot-stamping process.
Some are worse than others, but I've not heard where it was possible that cancelled versions were without the impression. Some just less than others.
When scanned for eBay purposes, the indentation is NOT visable!!
