to grade an item to put them in a slab. If a coin does not meet the standards or has been cleaned they will slab it but not grade it. One of their ideas was to slab chips without a grade just to state the chips were real not a fake. Now do I am not opening the can of worms on how they would kno if it real or not. I am just stating facts on slabs. OK
