slabbing is good or bad, or should be allowed at the convention or not. I just wanted to understand your use of the word discrimination, and your assertion that individuals are being treated differently. It may just be semantics, but I don't see how any individual members are being discriminated against. I think you are using the wrong term. What is being treated differently is certain goods, not certain people. Everyone is held to the same rules about their chips. The rules disfavor slabbed chips or slabbing at the convention. They do not allow certain people to offer slabbed chips or slabbing at the convention. Restraint of trade may be an issue (I have no idea), but I can't see how discrimination enters into it. I also don't understand how, if the club perceives a product to be a danger to the hobby, that it is not allowed to educate its members about those perceived dangers, and to make rules designed to maintain the health of the hobby. They may be wrong in their thinking. but they do seem to be doing what they are supposed to, which is to use their best judgment to make decisions for the good of the hobby.
I respect your opinions. I write this in the hopes of better understanding what you are saying.
