Now that high-brightness LED's (light emitting diodes) have become plentiful and inexpensive, there's an interesting gadget that you can carry around in your pocket. This one is a very slender pen with a UV-emitting diode. Uses AAAA batteries which I had not seen before; they are even skinnier than the AAA penlight batteries you probably have in your TV remote.

Very convenient for scanning chips while in the casino... and maybe even at the table as you play if you are careful. Cost is in the $20 range.
