When I first established my website, the Domain Name was "thechipgallery.com". Thats a lot of letters when you are giving people your email address, or typing it. So I decided to get another Domain Name (yet keeping the first one) that was a bit shorter and a bit more specific to my interests, that being all things casino-related and many things gaming-related.

Since I was in search of those things, like a miner in search of gold, I ended up with Gaming Ore (always digging for chips or gaming collectibles).

It was my brother's employer that kind of gave me the idea for the name. He worked for a comapny in San Franscisco that did house demolitions, but they sweep through the houses prior to demolition salvaging door knobs, claw-footed bath tibs and all sorts of other recyclable and re-saleable items. The company went by the name of Urban Ore.
