B&V Mowery do show TWO different tokens, one from 1994 and one from 1995. They do not show a difference in price. I would guess that as long as it was a useable $1 token it wouldn't make any difference in whether or not the gift shop also sold it.

In many cases it does however if the item is meant ONLY for gift shop sales and is not actually a "casino" value token or chip.
