to maintain orientation between the inserts and the inlay, I don't think there's any attempt made to keep the UV tag aligned in a specific way with the inlay.

I'm not sure the manufacturers don't care, but it seems to me of the hundreds of chips I've checked the UV marker has been there, but not aligned.
