I've got enough projects of my own going right now, but I think it would be a great project to compile a list of the names of operators of illegal and legal casinos that could be used to help research chips, locations and connections.

It would be sort of a biographical database with names of casino operators and the locations they were associated with, including dates. I'm planning on starting one for illegal gaming in Texas, but it would be great to have a nationwide one since these guys moved around the country a lot and had involvement in different states.

Does anyone maintain such a database already?
